Our Story

DRX Gateway was founded in 2026 by Daniel Roesler based on his extensive experience in building utility data exchanges for over a decade in the energy industry. As he was working on writing the next generation standards for utility data exchange, the world of energy was massively shifting to need more and more connections between utilities and external vendors, customers, and service providers. Utilities could no longer afford to have slow, manual, cumbersome processes for establishing digital connections and exchanging data with an increasing number of vendors and customers that are demanding better data and interoperability.

Our goal at DRX Gateway is to provide secure, accessible, and scalable services that let utilities manage data exchanges with external vendors, customers, and service providers. We focus on making standards-compliant automated APIs and tools that enable interoperability and streamlined connectivity with utilities. The world needs a grid that is secure, connected, and flexible to meet all of the challenges the future holds.

About the Founder

Daniel Roesler, the founder of DRX Gateway, has over a decade of experience in utility data exchanges. He has founded innovative utility data companies, led and wrote new utility data standards, and actively participated in many regulatory proceedings around how to safely and securely provide utility customer data access.

He has personally built and deployed many production quality utility data exchanges, as well as led security audits and regulatory compliance inquiries. He has been on the front lines of deploying scalable technology and knows what is required to actually deliver a working solution in the utility sector.
